Scott Fraser is a consultant ophthalmologist at Sunderland Eye Infirmary in the North East of the UK. He is also honorary lecturer at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and visiting professor at the University of Sunderland. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

He trained as an ophthalmologist initially in Newcastle and then completed his training at Moorfields Eye Hospital. At Moorfields he was also a research fellow initially looking into risk factors for late presentation of glaucoma and later as the Friend of Moorfields funded researcher looking at the genetics of glaucoma. He was awarded his MD in 2000.

His main clinical interest is in glaucoma in which he completed subspeciality training at Moorfields. His research interests also include glaucoma but more widely he is interested in factors that alter compliance with eye medications. He also has an interest in evidence based medicine and is an editor for the Cochrane Eyes and Vision group. He has published over 50 peer reviewed articles and over 100 presentations at scientific meetings. He has written chapters for 7 textbooks and has co-written a manual for eye care.

John B. Miller is the Director of Retinal Imaging at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, and the Principal Investigator of the Harvard Retinal Imaging Lab. His research focuses on novel retinal imaging devices, including Swept Source OCT, OCT-Angiography, 3D Heads Up Surgical Displays, and Artificial Intelligence. He runs an active imaging research lab with several research fellows, clinical fellows, residents, and medical students, where he was honored for an Excellence in Mentoring Award at Harvard Medical School. He is currently a member of the Club Jules Gonin, Macula Society, Retina Society, Vail Vitrectomy, ASRS, ARVO, AAO, IntRIS, and a founding member of IOCS. At Mass. Eye and Ear, he is also the Associated Director of the Harvard Vitreoretinal Fellowship and the Director of the Harvard Vitrectomy Course.

Dr Bharat Gurnani, MBBS, DNB, FCRS, FICO, FAICO Cornea, FAICO Refractive Surgery, MRCS Ed, MNAMS, FIALCE, is currently a Cataract, Cornea, Refractive Surgery, Trauma, External Diseases, and Ocular Surface consultant at Gomabai Netralaya, Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, India.

Dr Gurnani has a keen interest in research, conference presentations, and publication. He is an active member of YOSI and has done over 100 presentations at various conferences and has published over 350 papers and reviewed over 600 articles and is on the editorial board of 18 PubMed indexed journals.

Dr Gurnani is a recipient of more than 50 awards and youngest to get 200 PubMed indexed Ophthalmology publications. He is also the recipient of AIOS 2023 international heroes award, best paper award at Ophthalmic society of Kenya 2023, Best physical poster award at AIOS 2021, 2023, Best paper award at AIOS 2020, 2021, ACOIN award best youngest researcher 2023, AIOS YOSI Essay writing competition award 2023, IJO Best of certificate award 2021,2022,2023, FAICO Refractive surgery degree award by AIOS 2023, Thesis to publication 2023 by Aravind Eye Care System, Maximum publications award by Aravind Eye Care System 2019,2020,2021 and 2022, recipient of AIOS travel grant for international presentations.

Dr Gurnani works with a vision to take YOSI and AIOS to greater heights by regular contributions in the upcoming activities and helping juniors with educational activities. His keen interests are dry eye, microbial keratitis, keratoconus, complex cataract surgeries, MSICS, Phacoemulsification, ectactic corneal diseases, lamellar and refractive surgeries. He works with a global collaborative vision to enhance research and publication in the country.
