CISS Invites News About Your Favorite Research and Teaching Projects
Are you, a colleague, or a student launching an exciting new research project? Have you published a new book or article? Developing a new course? Please let us know! CISS and the CAS communications office are fortunate to be hosting two SWIP (Summer Writing Internship Program) interns this summer, and they are eager to write features, carry out Q&As, or do videos about you and your work. Our Summer ’25 interns Shayla Brown (CAS ’26/Anthropology) and Xiaowei “Kiwi” Yang (CAS ’27/Sociology) may write or produce a feature on you. Learn more about our interns below.
Shayla is rising senior and anthropology major who is very passionate about advocacy work and social justice. She is aa member the women’s soccer team, a Bloom Family Leadership Academy member, an Athlete Ally, and member of SAOC (Student Athletes of Color).
Kiwi is a rising junior, sociology major, and business & administration minor who is eager to hone her sociological writing and research skills while developing a project on educational inequality. She is peer tutor in the Core Curriculum, a CAS Dean’s Host, and Admissions Ambassador.
