西班牙语言文学硕士
The program develops an advanced knowledge of Spanish and Spanish American literature and the traditions, aims, and methods of research scholarship.
课程要求

Required courses include: (1) CAS LS 504 历史 of the Spanish Language; (2) 卡斯570 堂吉诃德; (3) a course in medieval or Golden Age Spanish literature; (4) a course in Peninsular literature since 1700; (5) a course in Spanish American literature; (6)选修课。 The courses in the history of the Spanish language and 堂吉诃德 may be waived and replaced with other graduate-level courses in the field if the student has completed equivalent courses as an undergraduate major. The seminars may also serve to satisfy requirements in areas (3), (4), or (5). No transfer of credit normally shall be granted toward the fulfillment of the eight semester courses required for the degree.
语言要求
None, other than the proficiency requirement in Spanish as stated in the admissions prerequisites: Applicants should hold a BA or equivalent in Hispanic language and literature. Applications should be accompanied by: (1) an academic paper of not more than 15 pages, written in Spanish; (2) results of the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) General Test; and (3) a summary page of grades and descriptions of all courses taken in the field of Hispanic literature.
