McCall MacBain Scholarship
About the Program
The McCall MacBain Scholarships bring together exceptional students who strive to engage in positive change by taking on meaningful leadership roles. McCall MacBain Scholars connect with mentors and participate in an interdisciplinary leadership program while pursuing a fully funded master’s or professional degree at McGill University.
Students in the McCall MacBain Scholarship program join a cohort of 30 students and are paired with faculty mentors throughout their time at McGill University. The scholarship covers tuition and fees for a Master’s or Professional program, living stipend of $2,300 a month, a one-time relocation grant for moving to Montreal, and basic French lessons.
Eligibility
- Students should have received their bachelor’s degree in the past 5 years
- You must meet McGill’s minimum language and academic requirements
- Those who apply must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered
- Different programs may have stricter GPA requirements
Selection Criteria
The McCall MacBain Scholarship looks for students who are engaged on their campus in leadership roles. Students who apply must possess:

- Leadership Potential
- Entrepreneurial Spirit
- Academic Strength and Intellectual Curiosity
Application Information
We encourage students to work with Jeff Berg in the Fellowships & Scholarships Office for guidance and support. Boston University may nominate up to three students (US citizen and/or international) each year. There is no endorsement cap for Canadian citizens.
