Update: Fall 2015 Diaspora Workshop

On September 24, 2015 the African American Studies Program hosted “Jewish, Armenian, and African Diasporic Identities: Constructed and in Formation – The U.S. and Beyond,” a one-day workshop supported by the BU Center for Humanities.

The focus of this workshop was to examine identity formation among three fairly well established, but quite diverse Diasporas: the original one from the Jewish homeland, but updated and modernized for the contemporary era; the Armenian diaspora through commerce and expulsion, and the African diaspora in its more modern form.
