Undergraduate and Graduate Essay Contest
The African American Studies Program at Boston University announces a competition for student essays on any subject relating to African American Studies. The best undergraduate essay (10-12 pages) will be awarded $150, and the best essay by a graduate student (18-20 pages) will receive $250. Prizes will be awarded at the African American Studies Program Convocation on May 22, 2011.

The competition is open to all current Boston University students in any school or department. Essays should be submitted by April 15, 2011, to the Essay Committee at African American Studies, 138 Mountfort Street, Brookline, MA 02446 or by email to afam@bu.edu. All applicants must submit a completed “Student Acknowledgement of Academic Conduct Policy” form, which may be found here.
