BU Archaeology Program Inaugural Event
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are pleased to welcome you to attend an open house and keynote lecture on the future of archaeology on the afternoon of Friday, September 21st. Additional information will be forthcoming, but we want to make sure you save the date and come spend some time with us.
The open house, from 1:30-4:00 pm, will be a great opportunity to visit new facilities associated with the BU Archaeology Program, to learn of current student and faculty research in different parts of the globe, and to have fun with hands-on demonstrations.
Dr. Laurie Wilkie (Chair, Department of Anthropology, UC Berkeley) will present a talk titled “The Role of the Past in Future Presents: Archaeology in the Days to Come.” It will be at 4:00 pm and will be followed by a reception to celebrate old friendships and the future of archaeology at BU. We hope to see you there!
