There are 5 comments on Menino’s Time at BU: Cut Short, but Indelible

  1. I am proud to have been a Bostonian under Menino’s leadership during my time at BU. His time may have been short with us, but nevertheless he had left his mark long before. You will always be my mayor. And even here, as an alumni away from Boston, I feel the sudden pang of sadness and pain that accompanies news of your passing. Thank you for all of the immeasurable great things you did for your city. Truly you were one of the greats. My prayers and thoughts are with all of your family and friends.

Boston will always be your city. BU will always be your home. RIP Menino. You will be missed.

  2. Mayor Menino was a great person and mayor. To many in Boston, his legacy includes a strong dedication to educational opportunity and to the students in the Boston Public Schools. The recipients of the Menino Scholarship at Boston University exemplify Mayor Menino’s commitment to education. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

  3. Rest In Peace Menino

I once was an inner city child with little hope of pursuing my dreams. You did a lot for the BPS in the 14 years I attended. I am now part on BU Class of 2015 and I want to thank you for being one of the people that helped me achieve this dream. Thank You!
