
After 16 years with the scientific journal, Biological Conservation, Professor Richard Primack is stepping down from the journal’s editorial team. Richard’s tenure with Biological Conservation included 9 years as the journal’s editor-in-chief. In a farewell letter, Richard’s many contributions to the journal and field of conservation are noted including, “improving transparency and equity in publications,” and promoting, “a multi-cultural and inclusive policy by inviting editors…across the world.” Additionally, a number of Richard’s impactful papers on the field of conservation are noted. Regarding his departure, Professor Primack noted, “I am both sad to be leaving this valuable activity and glad to have more time for my own research.” Congratulations on all of your hard work, Richard!
