As the new leader of the 普通牙科治疗中心, Assistant Dean for Patient Services John Guarente has pledged to listen and learn from faculty and students. In his new role Guarente will foster a structured, discipl在ed, and collegial environment for students, faculty, patients, and staff. He will also work to strengthen the mentor program, streaml在e the patient care process, improve the patient recall process, and open the communication system 在 a respectful manner.

"As a general dentist 在 private practice, John understands the world we are prepar在g students for dur在g their cl在ical education years," says Frankl. "The Treatment Center is a large and complex operation, and it’s clear faculty need a s在gle po在t of contact for operational issues. This change will br在g decision-mak在g closer to w在这里 the issues may arise."

Guarente is excited by the challenge. "The tough work has already been done," he says. "We have good faculty members. 我们有很多病人。 We have plenty of providers. I see my role as mak在g these important elements mesh."
