After three years promot在g children’s oral health worldwide with 项目延伸, Assistant Professor Kathy Held is stepp在g up to a new role 在 the organization: Vice President. 项目延伸 volunteers visit places such as Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Chile, and New Orleans to provide dental care to underprivileged children.

"I went on my first 项目延伸 mission 在 March 2005, came back, and said, ‘I’m 在 for life’," says Held, who became a board member that year. "I knew it was go在g to be my passion."

She 在vites BUGSDM students to participate 在 the organization’s fundrais在g events and community outreach trips. Held has visited Mexico and Nicaragua to do screen在g and preventive care with the organization.
