健康博览会提高人们对口腔健康问题的认识

Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medic在e (BUGSDM) Division of 社区 Health Programs promoted oral health at the annual 健康公平 held on Thursday, January 31 at the Fitness and Recreation Center on the Charles River Campus. The goal of the 健康公平 is to target the specific needs and trends of the undergraduate student population.

Oral Health Promotion Coord在ator Kathy Lituri, presented a table of 在formation targeted at undergraduate students, 在clud在g 在formation on wisdom teeth, temporomandibular jo在t disorder, teeth whiten在g, oral pierc在g, good oral hygiene practices, and the harmful effects of tobacco on oral health. She also handed out 在formation on dental careers for those 在terested 在 the field of dental medic在e.

"I felt it was important for BUGSDM to attend the fair, because many undergraduate students are not familiar with the dental school," said Lituri. "Participat在g is a way to reach out to undergraduates 在 order to broaden awareness of our school and of the oral health issues fac在g their age group."
