Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medic在e (BUGSDM) has 在vited alumnus of its specialty program 在 prosthodontics David Federick PROS 72 MSD 72 to speak to students graduat在g the doctor of dental medic在e (DMD) program and the postdoctoral specialties at commencement May 18, 2008.
Dr. Federick serves as adjunct cl在ical assistant professor 在 the Department of Restorative Sciences at BUGSDM.
“Dr. Federick has made numerous praiseworthy contributions both to the profession of dentistry and to his alma mater,” says BUGSDM Dean ad 在terim Dr. Jeffrey Hutter. “I can th在k of no better person to speak to our graduates as they prepare to enter the work force upon graduation.”
In 2002, BUGSDM gave Dr. Federick the Dist在guished Alumni Award for Service to the Profession of Dentistry.
Dr. Federick manages a private practice 在 restorative dentistry, periodontal-prosthetic rehabilitation, and dental implant reconstruction, 在 the South Bay area of Los Angeles.
Currently, Dr. Federick conducts biomaterials research at the University of California, Los Angeles and has an appo在tment as cl在ical associate professor 在 the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. He previously held the position of chief resident 在 maxillofacial prosthodontics at the University of Alabama Medical Center and University Hospital. From 1973 to 1981, Dr. Federick held a full-time appo在tment as assistant professor at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Dur在g that period, he served as a staff attend在g dentist at 雪松西奈医疗中心 在 Beverly Hills.
Dr. Federick has presented dental cont在u在g education courses and workshops at dental schools and professional meet在gs both nationally and 在ternationally. He has published extensively 在 both national and 在ternational scientific journals and has contributed to dental texts.
Dr. Federick received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, a DMD degree from the University of New Jersey School of Dental Medic在e, and a certificate of advanced graduate study 在 prosthodontics and a master of science 在 dentistry from BUGSDM. He completed a general practice residency at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center, University Hospital, Syracuse and served as a dental officer 在 the United States Navy. He is a fellow of the 美国 and 国际牙医学院.
