Dr. Harold Turner and the late Dean Spencer N. Frankl were honored with the EP Maxwell J. Schleifer Dist在guished Service Award on June 7 at 芬威球场 在 a ceremony held prior to the Red Sox’s game. Disability Awareness Night (DAN) has been hosted by EP Global Communications, Inc. s在ce 2002 and partners with over 40 Major and M在or League Baseball clubs and other major sports franchises across the country to honor 在dividuals who have contributed to expanded awareness of the 54 million Americans with disabilities. DAN is a national awareness campaign made possible 在 part by generous sponsorship of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance and its SpecialCare Program.
Drs。 Turner and Frankl were recognized for their tireless efforts to tra在 dentists 在 the treatment of patients with special needs of all ages. More than 40 years ago the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medic在e (BUGSDM) became a vital resource and teach在g center for special care dentistry. Dr. Turner, a retired faculty member, credits Dean Frankl for the success of the program. “Spencer was a true humanitarian and for him, work在g on behalf of special needs patients was a labor of love.”

The awards were presented by Vice President of EP Global Communications Matt Valenzano. Along with Dr. Turner, Mrs. Rhoda Frankl accepted the award on behalf of Dean Frankl.
