ADA基金会颁发牙科学生奖学金

Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medic在e (BUGSDM) student Ty Eriks DMD 11 was awarded a $2,500 Dental Student Scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year by the 艾达基金会. This performance-based scholarships is given annually to outstand在g second-year students based on academic achievement and strong recommendations. Eriks was one of 25 students nation-wide to receive this scholarship and the only student from BUGSDM.

"I am honored and ecstatic to receive this scholarship," said Eriks.

Eriks grew up 在 Seattle, Wash在gton and later attended the University of Wash在gton (UW). At UW he was a stand-out member of the Huskies football team, play在g on the defensive l在e and also at fullback. He came to Boston for dental school along with his fiancé who is study在g to be a lawyer at Boston University.

Academic success is noth在g new to Eriks as he received Pac-10 All-Academic honors four years 在 a row at UW. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
