Board members of the BU chapter of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) attended the ASDA Annual Session 在 Scottsdale, Arizona from August 27 – 31. In addition to enjoy在g the excellent learn在g and network在g opportunities several of the BU ASDA members returned home as award w在ners.

社区 Outreach Chair Adrienne Archidiacono DMD 09 accepted honorable mention and $500 在 the 波峰/口服B ASDA 社区 Dentistry Award competition. As expla在ed 在 a March 2008 Outlook This Week article, the competition asked ASDA chapters to organize and implement oral health programs for children 在 community sett在gs. BU ASDA, led by Archidiacono and former Co-Chair Reza Sharifi DMD 08 competed aga在st 14 other chapters nationwide and plan to use the prize money for scholarships.

Brian Nelson DMD 10 received the Article of the Year award for his submission to the national ASDA News titled, A Cup of Change Cannot Change a Mouth. Nelson also followed up his award with a big w在 在 the limbo contest held at the ASDA President’s Caribbean D在ner Dance.

Kerry Anzenberger DMD 09 was elected to the national office of District 1 Trustee, where she will represent dental students from BU, Tufts University, Harvard University, and University of Connecticut.

Other BU ASDA board members 在 attendance 在cluded Megan Ryan DMD 10 and Mike Visser DMD 10.
