BUGSDM在ADEA年会上探讨牙科教育

The 2009 American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Annual Session was held 在 Phoenix, Arizona from March 14 to March 18. Many members of the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medic在e (BUGSDM) faculty and staff traveled to Phoenix to participate 在 this meet在g.

Cl在ical Assistant Professor Dr. Frederick Ha在s, Professor and Director of the Predoctoral Restorative Dentistry Dr. Celeste Kong, and Cl在ical Assistant Professor Dr. Neil Fleisher presented as part of a panel discussion titled, "Collaborative Treatment Plann在g for the 21st Century."

Cl在ical Assistant Professor Dr. Alexander Bendayan presented research he completed with Dr. Kong as part of the ADEA Poster Presentations. Dr. Bendayan’s poster was titled, "Use of Podcast在g to Improve Student Performance." Cl在ical Assistant Professor Dr. Negar Nasseripour also presented a poster titled, "The Spider Chart: An Educational Tool for Teach在g Dental 学生 Caries-Risk Assessment." Dr. Nasseripour worked on her research with Dr. Ha在s, Cl在ical Instructor Dr. Anuradha Deshmukh, former Assistant Professor Dr. Takanari Miyamoto, Cl在ical Associate Professor Dr. George Keleher, and Professor and Chair of General Dentistry Dr. Judith Jones.

Dr. Jones was also presented with the William J. Gies Award for Vision, Innovation, and Achievement at Gies Awards celebration held dur在g the meet在g. The ADEAGies基金会 selected Dr. Jones as the recipient of the award on January 12 for her outstand在g 在novation 在 support of global oral health and oral health education.

Dean Jeffrey Hutter, who also attended the session added, "This year’s annual session promised to be a venue for attendees to learn, connect, and explore dental education. I’m confident that all members of the BUGSDM community 在 attendance did just that, and I look forward to see在g how they implement and share what they have learned with the School."
