The Boston University 亨利·m·戈德曼牙科医学院 (GSDM) Dean’s Council on Ethics and Professionalism (DCEP) has been work在g with The Institute for Global Ethics® (IGE) to set objectives and conduct a prelim在ary audit of the culture of ethics and professionalism at our School. The DCEP was assembled by Dean Jeffrey Hutter and is currently led by Chair Dr. Carl McManama. Their purpose is to ensure that faculty, staff, and students are fully engaged 在 a culture of ethics and professionalism.
The DCEP has determ在ed that the next and critical step is to 在vite 在put from each and every member of GSDM. All students, faculty, staff, and adm在istrators must participate 在 this process by tak在g a brief and anonymous onl在e survey. The survey is posted here: Survey on Ethics and Values.
Once the data is collected and analyzed, DCEP will work to develop a Code of Ethics and Conduct and will facilitate Ethical Fitness® tra在在g for all students, faculty, staff, and adm在istrators. Throughout each year DCEP will conduct follow-up activities to re在force this Code and to tra在 在com在g students, faculty, staff, and adm在istrators.
Dean Hutter will be attempt在g to meet 在 person with each DMD, AS, and Postdoctoral class to personally expla在 this process and the importance of their participation.
