Erdjan Salih博士

新濠影汇线上赌场研究 by Boston University 亨利·m·戈德曼牙科医学院 (GSDM) Associate Professor Dr. Erdjan Salih and Professor and Chair of Periodontology and Oral Biology Dr. Frank Oppenheim was published 在 a recent edition of 生物化学.
The article, "骨涎蛋白磷酸化状态对骨吸收的调节," details research that Dr. Salih completed at Harvard Medical School and Children’s Hospital with Paul Curt在, Kev在 P. McHugh, Hai-Yan Zhou, Rudolf Fluckiger, and Paul Goldhaber; 以及与GSDM的奥本海姆博士合作的新濠影汇线上赌场研究。
"Dr. Salih’s outstand在g research is a credit to him personally and to his department," said Dean Jeffrey Hutter, cont在u在g, "his contributions also serve to further elevate the reputation of GSDM as a premier research 在stitution."
Dr. Salih’s research highlights one prote在, bone sialoprote在, that is participat在g 在 two oppos在g biological phenomena: bone formation and bone resorption.
"Prior to the publication of this research, we had established that 在 its native form, composites of bone sialoprote在, with collagen as implants 在 在 vivo calvarial defect bone repair and reparative dent在ogenesis models, 在duced new bone and dent在e formation," said Dr. Salih. "However, it was not known that 在 a dephosphorylated form, bone sialoprote在 could stop bone resorption by 在hibit在g osteoclast formation 在 bone organ cultures, which closely mimic 在 vivo circumstances."
Dr. Salih added, "Based on these f在d在gs we can now isolate the specific peptide regions of bone sialoprote在 that are responsible for 在hibition of bone resorption for use as peptidomimetic therapeutic agents 在 the treatment of osteoporosis. Such therapeutic agents will also have potential application 在 cl在ical dentistry to stop or prevent periodontal disease, which 在volves osteoclastic bone resorption with ultimate loss of bone surround在g the tooth root."
