New 4-year DMD 19 and 2-year AS DMD 17 students at Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) were welcomed to the home of Dean Jeffrey W. Hutter and Mrs. Kathleen Hutter for six special new student receptions, which took place during a three-day period of the Orientation Program.

Due to the high number of students, six separate receptions took place to accommodate everyone. Four receptions took place for DMD 19 students—two on July 28 and two on July 29, while two receptions took place for AS 17 students—both on July 30.

Each reception was attended by faculty, staff, students, and—of course—Dean and Mrs. Hutter. The attendees mingled with each other over food and drinks.

After each reception, Dean Hutter gathered all the guests around and gave brief remarks welcoming all the new students to the GSDM family.

Students traveled to the reception from GSDM via a coach bus. The reception included drinks, cupcakes, and cookies.

“It is an absolute joy to have the incoming students to my home as an important part of their transition to   the GSDM community and wish them the best of success,” said Dean Hutter. “Our students come from diverse and impressive backgrounds and Kathy and I cherish the opportunity to get to know each one of them more closely”
