AEGD Dinner Celebrates A Job Well Done

Approximately 65 people attended the graduation dinner for the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM) Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program on Friday June 20. The dinner celebrated the achievements of the graduating AEGD class of 14 students. Graduates will go on to private practice, research positions, and postdoctoral programs.
"Last year, Dr. Nathanson and I made a lot of decisions," said host of the evening and AEGD Director Dr. John Cassis. "Among all of the decisions, the best we made were to accept you into the program and we are very proud that you all chose to join us. I commend all of you for your dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm for learning."
Dr. Cassis handed out two awards at the dinner. The first award was the AEGD Clinical Proficiency Award, which was given to Cynthia Yee AEGD 08, for her excellent clinical ability, good nature, and ability to work in an expedient and efficient manner. The second award, the Clinical Excellence Award, was also granted to Yee, this time for her exception display of skill, character, and enthusiasm.
