Alum Named President-Elect of American Dental Society of Anesthesiology

Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM) Alum Karen E. Crowley OMFS 86 was named President-Elect of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA). The ADSA is committed to the advancement of anesthesia and pain and anxiety control to benefit all people. They encourage the study of anesthesiology and seek to advance the art and science of pain and anxiety control as an integral part of the practice of dentistry.
Dr. Crowley was elected Vice President of ADSA in March 2005 for a two year term, became President-Elect in April 2007 for a two year term, will become President in April 2009 for a two year term, and will continue to serve as Immediate Past President for two years thereafter. She has been involved with the ADSA since she was an oral and maxillofacial surgery resident and fellow at BUGSDM.
"The ADSA has been one of my most rewarding professional experiences outside of my full-time private practice in oral and maxillofacial surgery." said Dr. Crowley. "I have been fortunate to have the company of the most amazing leaders in anesthesia in dentistry. I hope my organizational work will be of value to ADSA as it continues to offer continuing education of exceptional quality to all dentists with the objective of promoting patient safety and well-being during dental care."
