GSDM Students Inspired by Women in Politics

On Wednesday, April 14, several students from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) attended the Women in Politics event sponsored by the Massachusetts Dental Society’s (MDS) Women’s Leadership Taskforce.
This free event was a great opportunity for students to network with local female dentists, learn about current issues facing dentistry, and meet the people who directly affect the outcomes of the issues. Event speakers were Senate President Therese Murray of the Massachusetts Senate and Executive Director of the American Dental Association (ADA) Dr. Kathleen O’Loughlin.
"This was a great inspirational meeting for women in the dental field," said GSDM attendee Nisha Sundaragopal DMD 11. "Dr. Paula Friedman coordinated the whole event and was very inspirational. I also had the opportunity to talk with Dr. Kathleen O’Loughlin and learn about some of her various experiences in dentistry."
