Dr. Pushkar Mehra & Team Tackle Tricky Ameloblastoma
Stacy, a young Brandeis student was recently treated by Dr. Pushkar Mehra DMD 95 OMFS 99 and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM). While he endured multiple surgeries and a long road to recovery, he was truly grateful for the care that he received from Dr. Mehra and his team.
He is continuing his studies at Brandeis this semester as part of the Posse Scholarship program. “I just want to take the opportunity to say thank you for saving my life,” said Stacy.
As chronicled in the latest in our video series, Stacy details the discovery of a rare form of tumor known as Ameloblastoma. The surgical team removed one-third of Stacy’s upper jaw and facial structures. While waiting for the reconstructive part of his surgical care, he remains incredibly upbeat and grateful for the work of Dr. Mehra and the team.
