Please Join Us at the 2017 Yankee Dental Congress
The 2017 Yankee Dental Congress will be held from January 25 – 29, 2017 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, with exhibits occurring from January 26 – 28. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students, residents, faculty, staff and alumni to mingle with fellow colleagues and professionals in oral healthcare, learn about new technologies, materials, resources and services, as well as take part in the multitude of continuing education opportunities.
The Yankee Dental Congress is New England’s largest meeting for professionals seeking the best dental continuing education. With nearly in attendance from around the U.S., Yankee Dental Congress is the fifth largest dental meeting in the country.
Over the course of four days, over 300 continuing education courses will be taught by experts in all areas of oral healthcare. On the Exhibit Hall Floor, more than 450 exhibitors will be demonstrating the most innovative dental technology solutions available today and in the future. The Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) alumni lounge will be located at Booth LG3. All GSDM faculty, staff, students/residents and alumni are more than welcome to come to the booth to enjoy refreshments and the opportunity to meet with and converse with their colleagues.
GSDM students will be showcasing their latest research on Saturday, January 29 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. during the annual poster presentation session in the Exhibit Hall. Students from 19 other colleges and universities will also be presenting. Later that day, GSDM will be taking part in the 9th Annual American Student Dental Association District 1 Debate. Teams will face off across multiple rounds, arguing pertinent policy and ethical issues fronting students and practitioners alike. GSDM will be competing against students from: Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, and the University of New England School of Dental Medicine. Immediately following the debate, students may attend the Yankee Student Reception. Students may RSVP here: http://evite.me/tdwdWR2TpP.
Prior to the start of the debate, the Matthew Boylan Scholarship will be awarded. Sponsored by the Massachusetts Dental Society and Eastern Dental Insurance Company, the Scholarship is awarded to a deserving dental student from Boston University, Harvard University, or Tufts University.
