No Issue with Rain Tonight

You know you love to get dressed up – every now and then – but we just don’t get too many chances to do it. Tonight’s your chance. We’re about style.  Style floats through this place — it is both lyrical and thought-provoking. Style in a place where the mind and the heart dance together.  I’m not offering any tips your personal stylist, or friends, could give, but here are some tips to help your game at tonight’s Senior Ball:

  • You’ve got to have a little cocktail chatter. Spend a moment or two brushing up on your dougie and some innocuous news that can break the ice and start your conversations. (An example convo starter is here. Discuss.)
  • Catch up with you later.  Go with your crew, your girls, your man, or your homies, but remember this is one of the few chances you’ll have in a little while to just kick it with folk from your floor first year, in your classes, or even someone you were crushin’ on for a long time. Go home with your crew but don’t let them limit your social time with others while the party is going on.
  • Don’t forget to bring your ticket, your I.D., and good, old-fashioned cash – no debit or credit cards. (A cash bar for those 21 or older will be available, but you must have a valid license or passport.)
  • You get there and back on your own. Plenty of happenings on and around campus, too – make sure you and your crew make arrangements to get home safely.
  • Show a little swagger.

(Today’s suggested hashtag: #BUglam.) Have a splendid time.

Peace.
