Marc Rysman Named Next Chair of Economics
This week, Dean Sclaroff announced Professor Marc Rysman’s appointment as the next chair of the Economics department, beginning in July. Along with the announcement, Professor Rysman issued the following message to the department’s faculty, students, and staff: “I am truly excited about this opportunity to serve the department. Thank you to the faculty for supporting me in the search for a new chair. When I look at the various parts of our department, the undergraduates, Masters and PhD students, the staff, the lecturers, the junior and senior faculty, our alumni, and our deans and administration, I see exceptional people everywhere. Although we face many challenges, I feel the department is very well-positioned to take them on, and I see a department poised for success.”
