in GH Announcements, Practicums/Internships
February 9th, 2016

Here’s what you need to know!

Some take home points:

  • This is the inaugural year of this fellowship.
  • Recruitment is for this year – you must be done with your requirements by June.  They are accepting 8 placements for this year; next year they hope to recruit 24!
  • They are seeking those passionate about nutrition – but you do not need to know much about nutrition – the fellowship will teach you.

They want people who are:

  • Innovative, adaptable, creative and have leadership ability – who want to utilize these in with organizations to make an impact on Global Nutrition policy & programs at all levels.  They want all kinds of disciplines:  Epi, behavior change, managers, data/research, policy oriented.
  • For the 11 months (they pay all expenses – housing, meals, transport, insurance, plus after training and you are placed, a stipend of $1,000 per month for next 11 months that you can essentially put in the bank)

FINALLY – anyone with permission to work in the US will be considered (can be on OPT for international students)

This is a gateway position to jobs with Action Against Hunger, IMC, GOAL, Concern and more, like UN Agencies & UNICEF.
