The 20th International Development Conference at the Harvard Kennedy School represents the largest and longest-running graduate student conference on international development. The conference this year will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 11-12, 2014. Register now!

This year, we are excited to offer:

  • Over 15 panels on new trends in development, including access to finance, social entrepreneurship and impact investing, women’s economic empowerment, moving from access to quality in health and education, when RCTs are appropriate, and the potential of open data technology, just to name a few
  • Confirmed leading thinkers as Keynotes, including Esther Duflo, Co-Founder and Director of Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab; Michael Schlein, CEO of Accion International; and Kris Balderston, Former Special Representative for the U.S. Secretary of State’s Global Partnerships and General Manager, Fleishman-Hillard
  • Cutting-edge plenary debate on the theme of the conference “The Wrong Way? Forging New Paths in Development” that will delve into how development has been defined to date and the implications of our starting assumptions.
