The Food Project at City Farm Fest Volunteer Opportunity
Are you interested in growing food locally? Community and backyard gardening? Working with local gardening community members or practicing your data interpretive/communication skills? Then consider joining us for a few hours on Saturday, May 10! On Saturday, May 10 from 11AM to 2PM, we will be partnering with The Food Project to offer FREE SOIL LEAD TESTING for the community during City Farm Fest held at the Dudley Greenhouse in Roxbury. Soil sampling and soil health consultations will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until 2PM. Gardeners will bring soil to the Farm Fest and we will be analyzing the soil (right there) and communicating the results and providing interpretation to the gardeners. You will be trained (about an hour next week) to participate. Please consider participating with us! If you are interested, please contact Wendy Heiger-Bernays (whb@bu.edu) or Komal Basra (komalb@bu.edu) by Monday, May 5th.
***Please note: Only students who have previously completed EH717 Foundations of Environmental Health or EH765 are eligible for this opportunity***
