On Friday, November 6, 2015, the Hariri Institute for Computing hosted a Data Science Initiative Distinguished Lecture by John Lafferty (University of Chicago) on “Statistical Learning in High Dimensions“.

Professor Lafferty presented an overview of various aspects of his work in statistical machine learning, with a focus on computational and statistical aspects of nonparametric methods, high-dimensional data, graphical models, and text modeling.
