Sharon Goldberg’s Undergraduate Students Win CRA Research Awards
Under the direction of Sharon Goldberg, Hariri Institute Junior Faculty Fellow and Associate Professor of Computer Science, Alison Kendler (CAS ’16) and Isaac Cohen (CAS’16) received Computing Research Association Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Awards for 2016. Kendler is recognized as a Finalist in the Women, PhD-granting Institution category and Cohen received Honorable Mention in the Men, PhD-granting category. Cohen previously worked with the Hariri Institute for Computing on the Modular Approach to Cloud Security (MACS) project. This year’s nominees are commended for making significant contributions to computing projects, including research papers, major conference presentations, and software creation. Many had been involved in the volunteer community as teaching assistants, tutors, and mentors or completed successful summer research and internship programs.
