Hyunuk Kim, project champion for the Focused Research Program on data and misinformation jointly sponsored by the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS), is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Administrative Sciences at Metropolitan College, Boston University. Kim applies network science, natural language processing, and machine learning methodologies to understand the consumption of (mis)information on social networks. Kim published a paper in the Harvard Kennedy School Misinformation Review that motivated Twitter to launch a community-driven fact checking platform, Birdwatch.
