Professor Jon Roberts publishes two articles on science and religion

Professor Jon Roberts recently published two articles.  The first “Science and Religion,” in Wrestling with Nature:  From Omens to Science, ed. Peter Harrison, et al. (University of Chicago Press), examined the changing meaning of the terms “science” and “religion” and the history of the trope “science and religion” as it manifested itself in the rhetoric of religious and scientific intellectuals in Europe and America.  The second, “Louis Agassiz on Scientific Method, Polygenism, and Transmutation: A Reassessment,” appeared in the May issue of Almagest:  International Journal for the History of Scientific Ideas.
