Conference Time!
The first week of Spring brings flowers and birdsong, championship tournaments in basketball and hockey, and–even if you don’t normally associate it with Spring, conferences in the BU History Department. On Thursday and Friday, March 22-23, the Department will host the 7th Annual International Conference in American Political History. Co-sponsored with Princeton University and Clare College, Cambridge University, this year’s conference examines “Religion and American Politics” and features an internationally renowned collection of scholars.
Then, on Saturday and Sunday, the department hosts the 4th Annual Graduate Student Conference in American political History. Organized entirely by BU grad students, this year’s event is entitled, “The State and the Fourth Estate: Media i American History.” Former Bu Professor (and current Princeton historian) Julian Zelizer will serve as keynote speaker for the event.
