Emmet Golden-Marx is a sixth year graduate student from Saratoga Springs, NY. Emmet spent his undergraduate years at Brown University (with a Summer 2012 foray to the Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics) studying galaxy evolution and fossil group galaxies. At BU, he has worked with Prof. Elizabeth Blanton studying high-redshift galaxy clusters as part of the Clusters Occupied by Bent Radio AGN (COBRA) survey. Specifically, he is interested in studying the evolution of cluster galaxies onto the red sequence and the interplay between bent double-lobed radio sources and the cluster environment. When not studying clusters, Emmet enjoys taking part in astronomy outreach, including a number of school visits and observatory nights.
Research Interests: Galaxy clusters, high-z galaxies and clusters, galaxy evolution, AGN
