ISE Screening of ‘The New Fire’ Lights Up Crowd

David Schumacher’s documentary film The New Fire concluded with a grand applause from the audience. The screening was introduced by ISE Director Peter Fox-Penner at The Rajan Kilachand Center’s auditorium. Moderated by Michael J. Ford (Ph.D. Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School), panelists Michael Short (Assistant Professor of Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT) Lisbeth Gronlund (Senior Scientist and Co-Director at the Union of Concerned Scientists) and the film’s director, David Schumacher engaged in a heated discussion in regards of the future of nuclear power in its role to counter climate change.
