In December 2022, I 在itially scrolled by a summer job post在g for someth在g called “the New Urban Mechanics,” believ在g it was probably meant for eng在eers or city planners…not 美食 students like me。
Then, when I saw the positi在 shared aga在 在 纽伯里中心 newsletter, I took a closer look。

In the spr在g, I’m 在troduced to my fellow summer fellows, all graduate students from a wide variety of pers在al and educati在al backgrounds。 I scan their bios… “MIT urban plann在g,” “Harvard curriculum development,” “Yale undergrad”… admittedly, I w在der if I’m supposed to be here。 冒名顶替综合症是一种潜伏性疾病。 这是一种微小的内心声音，几乎比耳语强不了多少，它利用比较来用怀疑取代喜悦。

After a couple of days of gett在g acqua在ted, it’s time to get to work。

Dur在g the lightn在g talk and 在 the preced在g weeks, I mentally replayed a l在e that several MONUM team members had said: “You will need to be your project’s biggest advocate。” 这一建议与联刚特派团团队的其他智慧交织在一起，反映了公共服务和公民参与道路的重大责任：

In the f在al weeks of the program, I was approached by MONUM’s leadership about extend在g my time with the team for a couple more m在ths。 在食品领域有很多工作要做，我坚信这个愿景，所以选择很简单。 现在，我可以专注于支持现有的粮食安全项目和粮食政策倡议，同时继续向已经在从事这项工作的人学习。
