Partnership with National League of Cities leads to Menino Fellowship

The Initiative on Cities is proud to announce that we have partnered with the National League of Cities to offer a unique opportunity for Boston University undergraduate students – the inaugural NLC Menino Fellowship. Spanning the 2015-2016 academic year, the Menino Fellow will participate in an independent study program for the Fall 2015 Semester, supervised by IOC Director Graham Wilson. In the Spring 2016 Semester, the Fellow will join the Boston University in Washington DC study-abroad program and intern with the National League of Cities’ Institute for Youth, Education, and Families.

By connecting the Fall independent study with the Spring internship, the Menino Fellow will be able to connect scholarly work with policies that help mayors throughout the nation address critical challenges facing young people and families.

The IOC is now accepting applications for the Menino Fellowship. Submissions can be directed to Katharine Lusk at klusk@bu.edu. Interested candidates can learn more about the Fellowship and the application process by visiting the Fellowship page.
