David Frum talks to David Carballo, Associate Professor of Archaeology and a specialist on the prehispanic civilizations of central Mexico, about the fall of the Aztec empire, in the latest issue of the Atlantic. Carballo’s new history of the overthrow – Collision of Worlds: A Deep History of the Fall of Aztec Mexico and the Forging of New Spain – has just been published by Oxford University Press, just in time for the 500th anniversary of the event.
