Prof. Gallagher at the U.N. on the WTO and Development

Pardee Center Research Fellow Kevin Gallagher spoke to the Group of 77 at the United Nations in New York on issues related to the future of the WTO.
Prof. Gallagher’s presentation on the WTO’s future and its impacts on international development were based on his recent Pardee Center policy brief on the same topic.
The Group of 77 (G-77) is the caucus of developing countries at the United Nations. Prof. Gallagher’s remarks focussed on the extent to which the current WTO negotiations were consistent with the Monterrey Consensus – a UN agreement to facilitate human development to 2015 and beyond.
