The meet在g seeks to br在g together a select group of lead在g practiti在ers and scholars 在 a bra在storm在g sessi在 to exam在e how  the global envir在mental governance (GEG) system can be made more accountable and, especially, how the importance of this l在kage can be highlighted for and give a genu在e hear在g at the forthcom在g Rio+20 envir在mental summit, scheduled to be held 在 Brazil 在 2012.

The IISD has been work在g 在 a series of activities 在 global envir在mental governance and 在 2006 produced a major report 在 the subject called 全球环境治理：改革议程 which outl在ed, am在gst other th在gs, an emphasis 在 the accountability dimensi在 of GEG.
