Pardee Director Anthony Janetos Quoted in The New York Times

Pardee Center Director Anthony Janetos was quoted in a March 19 article in The New York Times titled “Obama Turns to Web to Illustrate the Effects of Climate Change“. The article discusses the newly created website application, climate.data.gov, which illustrates impacts of global warming such as drought, wildfires, and sea-level rise as a tangible and immediate problem for many regions of the United States.

While some experts caution against using the app to predict future climate change impacts in the U.S., Prof. Janetos said that “with respect to some aspects of the physical climate system, like sea-level rise, we’re on firm enough ground that you can do this kind of risk analysis.”
