Former Summer Fellow Ahmad Azari Authors Blog Post on UAE Renewable Energy Investments
Ahmad Azari, a 2020 Pardee CenterĀ Graduate Summer Fellow and a MA candidate at the Pardee School of Global Studies, recently authored a blog post for BU’s Institute for Sustainable Energy on the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) renewable energy investments during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the post, Azari outlines the recent steps taken by the UAE to meet its clean energy targets of 21 percent by 2021 and 50 percent by 2050, as laid out in its National Energy Strategy.
The piece is related to Azari’s research as a Pardee Center Graduate Summer Fellow last summer, where he studied Middle East oil and climate change policies, with a specific focus on the UAE. Learn more about the Pardee Center’s Graduate Summer Fellows program.
