Cutler Cleveland Featured in Media on Gulf Coast Oil Spill

Following his comprehensive Encyclopedia of Earth article on all aspects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Pardee Faculty Fellow Prof. Cutler Cleveland has been featured and quoted in various media on the topic.

Prof. Cleveland wrote a post based on his report for The Oil Drum, a highly regarded energy blog,  he was also featured and interviewed in BU Today, the Boston University daily e-newsletter and quoted in a Marketwatch story Marketwatch story about the oil spill and the future of the oil industry. In addition, his use of word clouds to analyze the rhetoric of the White House and BP was featured in the Wall Street Journal blog post by Elizabeth Williamson on June 4, 2010.

Prof. Cleveland, editor-in-chief of the online Encyclopedia of Earth (EoE), originally wrote the article for the EoE in late May and has been updating it daily. The article provides detailed information on all aspects of the incident, the relevant science and policy details, and an account of the possible impacts of this disaster.
