Katherine Krimmel to Join the Department’s Faculty
The department is excited to announce that Katherine Krimmel has accepted an offer to join the department as an Assistant Professor next fall. Katherine is currently finishing her PhD at Columbia University and has a prestigious Miller Center Fellowship at the University of Virginia.
Krimmel specializes in public policy, special interest groups, political parties, and American political development. Her dissertation “Special Interest Partisanship: The Transformation of American Political Parties” explores how special interest groups have become more and more affiliated with one party or another over time and how those shifts affect the policy making process and agenda. She has also researched public opinion about gay rights issues and is currently exploring questions about the states and contribute and receive the most federal money.
Beginning next fall Krimmel will teach courses in public policy and American politics.
