According to an email from CAS Dean Sclaroff, “[t]他的任命使每位任职者都能在中科院和核心课程中发起一项重要的新的人文教育倡议。 过去，这些项目包括在希腊雅典的暑期学习项目； a program of informal study of world languages for the BU community called “Globally Speaking;” and most recently a BU Public Humanities 本科 Fellows Program.”
“Professor 佩特罗 will teach in the Core Curriculum Program and will also launch a series of innovative and ambitious programs focused on the theme of Health Humanities with regard to internships, curriculum, research and events. These programs have the potential, not only to unite the arts and sciences in CAS, but to involve the Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Services, the Medical School, and the School of Public Health.”
