HRSA Postdoctoral Training in General, Pediatric, and Public Health Dentistry
OBJECTIVES:
The purpose of the Postdoctoral Training in General, Pediatric, and Public Health Dentistry program is to improve access to, and the delivery of, oral health care services for all individuals, particularly vulnerable populations and individuals located in rural and/or underserved areas. Grants under this NOFO will prepare general, pediatric, and public health dentists to practice in, and lead, new models of oral health care delivery by supporting innovative postdoctoral dental residency training programs.

Up to $450,000 per year-single discipline Up to $650,000 per year-collaborative, multi-discipline
ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:
All training activities must be conducted within a postdoctoral training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Applicants can propose to develop an accredited program however, either the applicant or a partner organization responsible for the training should be an accredited program in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental public health by July 1, 2021.
INTERNAL SELECTION PROCESS:
Interested investigators should submit the following materials via InfoReady Review by DATE:12/20/19
- Questions outlined in InfoReady Review application;
- A brief statement (up to 2 pages) by the candidate describing their scientific achievements and proposed project that highlights the population/need that the project will address;
- A brief budget outline for the proposed research
- Up-to-date CV or biosketch.
A faculty committee drawn from both campuses will review internal proposals and select nominees.
