Sponsored Programs to Deactivate Grants Shared Drive
On June 1, 2020, Sponsored Programs will begin the process of sunsetting the Grants shared drive, which is currently located here: grants (\\gpnas.bu.edu\osp\Grants).
Historically, this drive was used as a way to exchange documents between BU Departments and Sponsored Programs Research Administrators in advance of submitting a proposal to a sponsor. But several years ago, our workflow shifted to have all proposals routed through the SP Front Desk (ospera@bu.edu). Since then, the Grants shared drive has had no role in SP workflow.
Between now and June 1st, departments should work with their individual BU IS&T contacts to create a department specific shared drive (if necessary). Once a shared drive is created, Department Administrators should migrate any existing files from the Grants shared drive to their new location.
