2nd Annual Second Language Learning & Disabilities Conference

This past weekend, the Romance Studies Department held our second annual conference on Second Language Learning & Disabilities.

The conference aims to provide language educators with tools and strategies for creating inclusive curricula and a classroom climate of tolerance and respect. Our guest speaker was Dr. Wade Edwards, Associate Dean and Professor of French at Longwood University and co-author of Disability and World Language learning.

The conference was a great success! Many thanks to all who attended, and especially to the conference organizers, María Datel and Elena Carrión Guerrero.

Sponsored by the College of Arts & Sciences, co-sponsored by:  Wheelock College of Education & Human Development, Center for Teaching & Learning, Geddes Language Center, Office of Disability Services.
